Just a reminder for the NGSR (North GA. Sky Rebels) C/L Stunt summer contest being held in CANTON, GA., Aug. 4th & 5th. Field open for practice Aug. 3rd- 11AM-8PM. Complete contest flyer is in the "EVENTS SECTION" of this forum, including list of available motels and campgrounds.
The Canton Econolodge has blocked off rooms that are available for $67.99/N until JULY 23RD. Rooms have been checked out personally and are very nice and clean. If looking for a bargain then MOTEL 6 is a good one in the $48-52/N range. It is new and it was also personally checked, and was found to be neat and clean. If choosing the ECONOLODGE must call motel desk ((770)345-1994) and use rate code (NGSR), or if you have FARM BUREAU Ins. use their special rate ID 00216530 for same rate. Becky Dixon and Kathleen Patterson have planned an outing for some of the pilot's wives if they want to participate.
One final thing, it was erroneously reported that we would have skill classes in the PROFILE UNLIMITED event. We will not. The skill class event will be in N-30. Anyone with an OTS or Classic era plane may enter N-30. We will also do skill classes in the P.A. event on Sunday. All other events (PROFILE UNLIMITED, OTS, and War Bird) will be open events.
