Newest Model Aviation Hall of Fame Inductee

  I am pleased to announce that through the diligence of "Dee Rice", Matt Kania (The Father of the Ringmaster) has been inducted into the Model Aviation Hall of Fame. This is a long overdue honor for the Kania family. Congratulations to all of them and to Dee Rice for seeing this through.

This is a long overdue event.  I would have thought that Matt would have already been a HOF member of the AMA.  I know Matt's son appreciates this, and thanks to Dee for his work.

  Please excuse my mistakingly calling it the "AMA Hall of Fame", when it is indeed "The Model Aviation Hall of Fame" In my excitamant to get it posted I lost track of what I was doing. It was not intentional, just an error on my part. Thank-you for bringing it to everyones attention and correcting me. As you can see I changed the original post to read correctly, I have no control over the rest.

  My congratulations go out to "Bill Werwage" also. You are correct again it is well deserved.

The most stunning piece of news is that Matt Kania was NOT in the HOF say 30-40 years ago.  THANK YOU Dee Rice for correcting this oversight!

Again, about Billy Werwage - talk about a slam-dunk for the HOF!  Billy remains the single most resourceful designer, flyer and CLPA practitioner - maybe of all time.

I think as a TEST you SHOULD list Billy Werwage's accomplishments!  It would certainly eat up a LOT of electrons and would probably be as long as one of your new monthly columns! 

BTW THANK YOU BOB for a GREAT job leading Model Aviation the past several years.  Best of luck in the NEW endeavors too!

I thought a person had to be inactive for five or more years to be an inductee, or is that the PAMPA HOF?? If not, the Billy W. definitely belongs in the MAHOF.

I don't know about the MA HOF, I guess not!D 

The PAMPA HOF has the 5 year rule.  But it was not in place in the beginning, so Billy is already in there.  First batch, IIRC.
