Well Terrence, we have looked for you all year long and quit looking. I myself will not be flying as the Church is havng regular services and afterward a "Cornbread and Bean/Black Eyed Peas" for lunch with fellowship. But, for your info the "TOPCLASS" group will be flying on New Years Eve into the New Year. Then on New Years day will be flying also. Now folks if I am being too harsh on the man, for give me. VD~

From the Garden State Circle Burners:
The 79th Annual New Year’s Day fun fly has been moved to the Palisades Park swimming pool site!
The club field is way too soggy still.
Tom Niebuhr kicked this tradition off over 20 years ago, saying that it was something that Larry Scarinzi started….Larry says that he didn’t remember……but it has been fun and proved to be a great way to kick off the New Year.
We usually begin around 10:00
Bring your stale Christmas cookies and fruitcake…..
We hope you’ll be able to make it!
Happy New Year!

I had good weather today and put up three flights this morning with my repaired U-Key 35 at the local school grounds. I's a decent place to fly when school is closed. It got much windier by the last flight and my loops got "wind-up", and tension was quite light on the upwind side.

Not exactly the Midwest, but the Tucson gang will be out flying on New Year's Day. Predicted temperature is 75-76F. (Sorry, folks!)

Hey Mike,
I am trapped here in the Midwest with a little less cooperative weather this time of year. With weather like you are having, (75 degrees), even an old (71 years of age) cripple (severe arthritis in hands/knees) could be temped to hobble out to the field and put in a flight or two. Anyhow, have fun!........TDurrill y1 #^ D>K

Here is an update on the weather here in Central Illinois!!!
Tonight: A chance of rain between midnight and 3am, then a chance of snow after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 18 to 21 mph becoming west between 26 and 29 mph. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
New Year's Day: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 37. Windy, with a west northwest wind between 25 and 33 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph.
The temperature, if there was no wind chill, would not be that big a problem but the wind is going to make me scrub the New Years Day flight. Bah!!! Humbug!!!! HB~> HB~> mw~

There was a good crowd at the Tampa Bay Wire Fliers site....it was 80*, sunny and little wind....a good time!

To John Holiday Re: Link to calendar!
Hi John, As you instructed I did go to the Calendar link at the end of a page and was told "You are not permitted to change any post on this site"! Amazing I simply wanted to see what this was all about! Can you help?

Oh By the BY, I was able to get my wife to go along on the First to help me fly and got to put up two Patterns with my revamped Profile Oriental powered by an FP .40! The temperature was +/- 65 degrees F. and the winds were about 12 mph! I just love this Virginia Weather! Of course today, 1-3-12 the temps started out at 29 degrees with the winds howling! I like 65 better! Come on spring time!
