OMG! I bought some at National Hardware (a very old fashion hardware store where they still hand write every sales ticket) in Fresno (CA) a few months ago, I think it was under $3.00. If you have any "old fashion" hardware stores in your area check them out.

Tower Hobbies lists K&S 507 1/8" music wire as $12.99 per pkg of 9 pcs. $15.00 could be normal retail. I suspect the seller simply made a mistake and marked package price instead of per piece price. I have run into this multiple times with K&S wire and metal. Getting the merchant to fix it is an entirely different issue... HB~>

Yes, Bill is correct. K&S has gone to bundling some wire sizes, especially the very smallest. been this way for a few years now. Best way to deal with a shop is to have them look up the price on the K&S website to verify.

Well trying to support my local hobby shop I went out to get some music wire.  The local ACE Hardware has had some very brittle wire.  of course I go to the wire rack in the shop. Surprise, no wire except for a couple of 1/8th inch size.   Bought a slab of birch ply and asked him about the wire.  Said he would call me if and when they order and get it.  So I dig through my stash and found a ball link that will work.  I now have the elevater hooked up on my fun carrier.

Hello Matt  H^^ Can't beat your world record on 1/8 wire but buying a quart of dope is over $80   :o here in a well known hobby shop here in Auckland NZ (about 60$US). Did manage to get a gallon for less at full size aircraft supplies . All you can do is shop around (or on the net where possible but that normally rules out Fuel and building supplies ).

Regards Gerald

You don't know what a world record is fellows!!  Have a look at this Qld, Australia robber has for a sheet of balsa on fleabay.  This is per sheet and does include postage..... Really??!!  I couldn't resist asking the seller if they had a decimal point in the wrong place and then near double the price in normal hobby shops.
