Another alternative...I was rebuilding a pair of SU Carbs for my car, got them as clean as possible, and then ran them through the dishwasher with the usual amount of Cascade dishwasher soap...spotless, uniform, nice, and squeeky clean. And a lot less trouble than soda blasting.  H^^ Steve

Warning on the Cascade! Some Cascade formulas discolor aluminum. Test first!

Depends on who's overseeing the dishwasher.

I've had issues with cast aluminium parts coming out discolored, to the point of being virtually black when I tried it.

SU's eh? What do they belong on?
