New toy
« on: April 28, 2018, 09:47:32 PM »
Such a beautiful day today.   Last night notice my SnapCam camera on the desk.   So it got loaded with the planes today after being charged up.   After watching the videos I/it made today I need a lot of help.  First flight was with the Hobo and I some how managed to keep most of the flight in camera view.  The other flights not so good.   Do have a lot of shots of a bearded old man and an arm moving a Fancher handle all over the place.   Once I learn how to take stable videos then it will be how to down load so people might be crazy enough to watch them.   Next time will be better, I promise.

What I like about my gopro Hero Session 4. Is i connect my phone to it through WiFi. Letting me view amd download pics/videos AND setup the camera when it is on my head mount. So I can view what the camera sees through my phone. Makes for easy adjusting

Do you have a pic of your head Mount.   I now know a shirt pocket is not stable enough. HB~>

Its similar to this one. Except i got a bubdle of mounts really cheap on ebay that works pretty well.

Do you have a picture of your camera. I may be able to find the accessories you need to help with recording.

If you havent seen it yet this is how mine looks with my gopro. Tons of settings for all sorts of things that ive yet to fool with.  Well worth the money in my opinion. ONLY downside is you cant change batteries. Its built in and ya have to charge. But it lasts a good while depending on what yer doing.

OK Doc.  I'm sold.  I'm gonna check yours out and get one.  Might be more useful than the video camera which refuses to follow along when the wind changes direction.

I paid $125 for my gopro session a year ago. May be cheaper now

James I think it's worth that.  My camcorder setup was 10X that and works OK but doesn't like bright sun very much and is usually 90 degrees away from where the wind is.  I CAN bring it back and watch/record it on the TV or project up on the wall but I'd like to see if this is more practical.

Thanks!

I also use a Sony CX405 camcorder. Can hook up to my tv with HDMI or pull SD card and load on pc or phone. All my other videos on youtube was filmed with this and it does well.
