Melvin got out to the new field about 6:45 am Thursday morning.....    Ran his P Force through the pattern....     However, Paul Willard and I were there about 4:00 pm wednesday afternoon for the first flights...   Just a note...   Paul flew on the Gage Park circle in the late 1940's when it was new H^^ H^^ H^^

Well I got to see the new circle today.  Also got to be pit man for Melvin in Mouse and Class II Goodyear.  There is a drop between the center pad and outer circle of about 3 or 4 inches.  The TOPCLASS people have something to work with and the city park people.  Jim says most of credit goes to Melvin and Brenda Schuette.  Yes the same Brenda that tries to keep us C/L'rs under control at the NATS.  They worked very hard trying to save the old field.  Get a chance go to 21st and Uriah and the new field is south of the new Fire Station.  By the way, there is one of these supposedly fabulour Round-a-bouts for the intersection.   H^^
