Hey Guys,  The weather hasn't been too good here lately... so building is pretty much all I can do at the moment.  Here's one of my new Peacemakers.  Red Hot off the building board...  this one uses a OS FP .15 whicle the other one uses a Fox .15X.

I know this is ten years old, but wondering whether anyone remembers how the Peacemaker flew with the Fox .15x. Thanks.

The Peacemaker was designed for a 15 diesel, so the 15X should be fairly close.

Actually, if my memory serves (which it sometimes doesn't) the original Peacemaker flew with a 3.5 CC diesel, which would turn a larger prop a little slower than the .15 glow engine but produce significantly more thrust!
I saw a couple flown by RAF guys in Malta where I was stationed in the 60's with Oliver Tiger 2.5 cc diesels.  They were reasonably fast but my Splinters with Tee Dee .15's were quite a bit faster.

That said I think a good Fox 15X would be fine on a Peacemaker,  I think an OS .15 FP would be a lot more fun!

             I like your tank design, perfect for the short nosed Streak. That should fly awesome. I'm assuming that's a Taipan on the nose? Another good choice. Makes me jealous. The plane looks great nicely done.

After posting this current question, I realized that I had actually watched Warren's other posts at that time, but I hadn't addressed the .15x then. Thanks, for the comparisons, Randy and Garf. If someone near wanted to trade a modern .15 for, say, my LA-.40, I might do that, but when it comes time to drill the holes, I'll use what I have. 'been reading archives on the .15x.

I have one with an Oliver 2.5 (.15) that is built light and is a joy to fly.  I havent flown it ofr some years but now I have been reminded and summer outside flying is about to start I will extract it from the attic and get it flying again.
