New sign for the new field

Today we put up the new sign for our new flying site.  I guess that kind of makes it "official".  It really was kinda neat to see a sign that actually says you are looking at the home flying site of the X47 Flyers.  Below are a couple of pics.  Don Thibault is on the left and Joe Petty is on the right.  Joe's generosity is why we have this nice new site.

Right now we have two circles mowed.  For the 2011 King Orange International, we will have at least four, maybe five.  Here are a couple more pics.  In the center pic, you can see the RV park in the background and everyone working intently on Joe's Flite Streak.

Congradulations to the X47 Flyers and take care of that gentleman.  You guys and the Tulsa Glue Dobbers are very lucky clubs to have individuals like this(Rob Reeves, TGDC).

Folks:

Keep in mind that we love having company.  You just need current AMA or MAAC membership.  If you have a motor home or camper trailer, you can stay in the RV park and have use of the flying field any time you want to fly.  I would suggest calling ahead and reserve a spot.  It is full a lot of the time.  The name is Stagecoach RV Park and the phone number is 904 824-2319.  Website is www.stagecoachrv.net.

Thanks for including MAAC members in the invitation!  Very Generous, but T-shirts in December?  You may be inundated with snowbird stunt fliers.
