Title: New Rebel almost finished.
Post by: Leo Mehl on February 15, 2009, 03:44:39 PM
I have some issues with the fillets but almost ready to test fly. Just so I don't get any more remarks from the now famous judge I do have AMA numbers on it. I would also like to mention the wingtips are not squared off just so I don't get deducted 2 points. Hope to test fly next week. Picture enclosed!

Hey Leo,
not bad for an old fart!
 y1 LL~
so like is the open cockpit so the pilot can get out in a hurry or what? I have to have closed canopies or my pilots all bail out on me for some reason?

I like it, Leo! Especially the open cockpit and wing tips. But I wish you'd stop picking on me...you're making me sleepy!  Z@@ZZZ Steve

PS: Whose AMA nummers are those?

Leo, the plane looks great.  Wish I could see it in person.  Now, you better hope your judge is put on another circle.  He just may give you 10's all  the way thru as maneuver attempted but not good. n1 n1 n1  Anyway look forward to seeing everyone at VSC.  DOC Holliday

New Rebel flies good. It needs a little nose weight and I need to fix fuel tank because it will not fill. I hate it when a boughten tank is not right. Picture to come. HB~> HB~>

Old flyer--New plane! Have new tank put in and will do some more flying at the end of the week. I still have to sand fillets and redo before they get to oily. Don't know yet what next project will be but now have a real good classic plane to fly.
