The 3rd Annual Ski Dombrowski Fun Fly will be held on July 11. I’ll post additional information in the Event’s section. There will be 2 events: Timed Stunt with Spot Landing, and a Foxberg Race.
Timed Stunt and Spot Landing Summary
The idea for this event is make it simple enough for anyone to fly regardless of skill level and still have a chance to score well and have fun. You can fly any IC model without a throttle.
You begin by picking a random time between 4 and 5 minutes via the roll of a die, this is your target time. You also chose your spot for landing. Once you signal the judges the clock starts and your time begins. You can now start your engine. You make points by taking off within 60 seconds, then performing a series of stunts, and then, when the engine quits seeing how close to the spot you can land. Once the plane has come to a complete stop the clock will stop. If you finish within 5 seconds of your target time you keep all the points you have earned. The larger the difference between your target time and actual time the more points you will lose up to a maximum of 10 points
The maneuvers will not be judged they just have to recognized as such and you need to fly at least 1 lap between each. Each of the following are worth 10 points.
1. Take off within 60 seconds
2. One normal wingover
3. 3 consecutive inside loops
4. 2 horizontal eight (normal or lazy eights)
5. Proper sequence
6. Spot Landing
