Why not post this also on the electric forum, with all specs:  motor, battery, timer, etc.

I seen many 'Gazers, but none electric.

The alignment jigs John built to align the wing, fuse and stab ought to pay dividends on Friday.  Hope to be in Tucson on Sunday;  see you then .

VERY NICE! That's a great name for an Arizona plane, I like the flag on the tail too.  y1

I saw this last week in John's shop and it is even more striking and beautiful in person than in the photo's.

John truly is a Master Craftsman!

I too will be out Tomorrow to witness the first flights!

First flights very encouraging. I started with an RSM kit. Ended up mostly just using the plans and ribs. Paint is Dupont basecoat/clearcoat.

John is being way too modest.  I was there today and the plane is very close now and looks great in the air.

It's trimming very nicely and responds to changes well.  It's obvious already that it's going to be a Winner!

I told him afterwards "Well you've done it John, No excuses now!"  John has improved tremendously in the past year or so and I believe with this airplane will continue to improve at an accelerated rate!

Last I saw John fly, he was flying his Caprice in Expert at GSSC, and I believe he placed 8th. I made a point of telling him "Nice flight!", but he no doubt would have liked to hear that from Paul, David or Brett. I watched his whole flight, and thought it was better than that, which made me wonder if he wasn't downgraded just for flying a Classic in Expert. Great to see John building a real Expert class plane! Regardless, IMO, John is going to be tough on the troops at GSSC this year...if the electrons don't mess with him too much.  H^^ Steve

John gave an absolute Master's Class in wind-flying in Classic at Golden State in 2015, running the early, classic-legal Rabe Mustang.  Even though it probably had the least corner of any airplane present, he never let it get into the coffin corner, never looked rushed, really, a tour-de-force in flying 4-2 break airplanes in the wind.

Just saw this Thread, don't know how I missed it?

WOW! really nice job! All paint is my guess? Lettering too?

Checks, I have a model coming with checks but not as many.

Really nice!
