Title: New Plane !
Post by: Osni Renato on January 25, 2010, 04:40:10 PM
Hello friends!
Today I finished the construction of a new plane
Order was a friend and deliver next week!
This is a Trivial Pursuit RSM (I do not like some of the details of this kit)
the engine that will equip this plane is a STALKER 76 and the final weight of the set is 1510kg or 53.15 OZ
Big hug to everyone, Osni  ;D

The plane looks fine Osni, what didn't you like about the kit ??? If there are problems with it you should let Eric at RSM know. Can't fix it if you don't know what's wrong.

Hi  Leester! ;D
Fittings parts are good but many parts of the laser cuts were superficial and need a new cut with a blade!
Laser cutting was not too good in plywood was superficial!
may be just adjusting the laser cut I think!
They missed some stringers also in this kit.
This was the second kit I built and the first was better.
The kit is good but as I said are just details!
Regards

The plane looks great.  I have not found a commercial kit that has not had some problems.  Most just minor.  Not talking about the kits I got from Walter and Bill.  Biggest complaint is that I think the laser cutting, as great as it is,  makes the wood brittle.  Use a lot of CA putting peices back together.  But, as stated if you don't let them know about a problem, it will not get fixed.  Eric is one great person too.

Hi John!
The plane was light!
Weight was measured on electronic scales!
He's covered with Monokote! I need to learn more about painting to painted models!
The weight of the wood was just below 900g (+ - 38oz)
