Hi All,
PAMPA has a new website! Its the same domain name as before pampacl.org but is way better. We have to individually upload each user and set a new temporary password. (Over 600 members) It will take us about a week to get this done. You should be getting an email from Angela Molina or myself with a password to get you logged in. Please be patient as this will take some time.
Thank you,
Chris Rud

Well done Chris! Much appreciated!
Type at you later,

Thanks for the heads-up Chris!

Thanks Chris.
-
I'm looking forward to checking it out!
-
Tried to join up for the online membership, it said sorry no way to take payment?
-
Jared:
I'm glad you want to renew, but please hold off for just a while longer on trying to renew. Things are still being put into place. Matt & company have worked out a new proposed PAMPA budget. And as Chris announced, a new web-site is going up. We didn't want to start (actually couldn't) the membership renewal until we knew what the new membership rate would be and that was dependent on the budget revisions, and also on revamping the web-site. You'll recall that Dennis had started this in motion before his real-life job gobbled him up.
Matt has been extremely engaged on this and I think you will like what comes out the other end. Please be patient a little bit longer.
As District IV Rep I am liking what I am seeing (and I hope Matt doesn't feel that I am talking out of turn about this, but thought you should get a reply.)

Be patient!!! Yes I have patience, I wanted it done last week. LL~ LL~ LL~
How do we thank you guys/gals for the work you do? D>K

I checked it out this morning it look fantastic. Thanks Chris.
-
So, we were told to wait a bit to re-up. I went ahead and tried to use the new site to sign up. Says there is no valid payment method yet. It's so much fun getting a new site up and running smoothly.
Keep at it Chris, it's pretty cool.

I like the new layout, Charlie Reeves on the homepage , Videos , great job A+

Hmmm. Need to some editing guys, The 2017 Nats coverage intro has the following line " Taking a brake from all your worries sure " That would be spelled "break" not "brake". Just sayin. :)

It looks GREAT, and lots of action. Wow, I wish I could start a wing that fast y1.
Very Good work.
I got on w/out problem..

Thanks Chris. Good Job.

I'm still waiting for my notice. S?P
-
I got the notice and followed instructions. Worked fine, I'm in! Thanks Chris.
-
As usual I jumped the gun. Always check E-Mail before retiring for the night and there was my notice. I am now back in. Now for renewal time. Thanks a lot to those in charge of this. H^^ H^^ H^^

I have been a PAMPA member for as long as I can remember, but don't go to the site often. I guess they have my email address to notify me, but not sure. Are they sending out notices in alphabetical order as they get time? I'm gonna wait a bit and see what shakes out.
I have visited the home page to check it out, and would like to know two things:
1) Who is the guy building the lost foam wing in the home page video? Just a curiosity.
2) Charlie Reeves is older than I am, but don't know by how much. How are his knees in better shape than mine in that he can get up from a kneeling position so easy and fast!! HB~> HB~> HB~> I need a crane to get up some times! 40 years pounding concrete earning a living has taken it's toll I guess!
Great work guys!

Yes alphabetical order. Not sure what letter Angela is on. She has to manually enter you and then send you the email.
Lost foam guy is me. It was a GoPro test video a few years ago.

That probably was my boo boo. Chris took my copy of the report and reprinted it. I can't spell. Never could.

This may sound like a really dumb question in this forum but here goes - when was PAMPA formed? It is not on the Web site or facebook Page (nice page!)
-
Mid to late 70s, I think.
-
PAMPA formed Fall 1973...
Not a charter member but one of the first to join.

Thanks Larry. It was about 2-3 years old when I originally joined which would place it around 1975-6. I ran across an old trophy from a PAMPA meet I CD'd in 1978 and it got me curious as to when I joined. Sometimes you get memories from that far back confused!

I just tried to renew online and I got a message:
"Sorry, it seems there are no available payment methods which support subscriptions. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements."
Huh? After all this time we still don't have online renewal? Chris, oh Chris......
PS - Why are we calling renewal memberships "subscriptions" anyway?

I haven't gotten an Email, so apparently haven't made it to W yet. Waiting patiently for the heads-up. D>K

From what I now understand, online renewals won't happen till April 1st and on. I'll wait till then. Thanks Matt.

Crist,
We are having issues with PayPal. I'm literally going to have to fly/drive to Mike Strands house to get PayPal and the website to play together. Very annoying but I guess its better that they are secure then not secure.
Also, subscriptions is the default name for memberships with the plugin we are using. I will see if there is a way to change that.

I have a personal PayPal account and last year needed to help wife set up a Pay pal for 501c and navigating through the on line methods proved a royal pain
I gave up and called...lucked out I guess as the lady I describe what I was tying to do fully understood...go figure.... she was not in Bangladesh
Just a thought

Thanks Chris.

Thank you for the hard work you and the volunteers are putting into this.
I have a question for you, I don't know if you are the person to ask but I'm going to ask just the same. There are a number of back issues missing in the downloads section. I cannot remember now but there was a discussion on a particular model with a date and reference to a mag issue. I went to look it up and noted that it was missing. Some further research showed that others might not be there as well. Any chance that they can be tracked down and incorporated into the back issues download section?
If not, no worries. Thank you for your effort and hard work.
