hello Everyone As heading implies i am new to this forum.
Just a short introduction. My Name is Darren Stout I live in Townsville, Queensland, Australia
just getting back into control line after not flying for about 14 years. I am 32 and enjoy flying control line for the feeling of it.
Current Planes in the hangar are Just finishing a SIG Akro-Master with a SC15 in it. Have a Frog Aerobat with a PAW 249 in it. (building from scratch)
A Carl Goldberg Shoestring Stunter with OS 25 FP-S (nearly finished), couple of combat wings, and the pride of the fleet is going to be a Tom Wardens Continental
Laser Cut kit, with an OS 46 LA-S that my wife bought for me as a present, going to enjoy building it. Had many other planes years ago that have been crashed and smashed. Will try and get photo's for posting, but definitly will keep updated of continental when project starts in a couple of weeks.

Seems like most of us (well, many, anyhow) are retreads who flew in our youth, quit for many years, and came back to it in our dotage. First time I picked up a handle in 30 years, I found it's like riding a bicycle, the old muscle memory was still there, a little rusty but flew fine...but I did get dizzy. Took a few sessions to get my "flying legs" back.
It's a great hobby that attracts only the best kind of people. Welcome back.

Hi again Darren; I didn't notice this post when I responded to your Continental post. Glad to have you going in circles again y1 Like so many here, I'm a retread too. I gave up the hobby in '72 and always missed it. I got back into the circle about 10 months ago, sure is fun being back!
Be sure to send pictures of the Continental's progress; I may get one some day.

Welcome aboard and has been stated already, don't be afraid to ask questions. We as individuals may not have an answer, but, someone will.
To show what a charactor I am, I worked in the control center for Southwestern Bell Telephone. All kinds of training on special circuits and what not. Had one of our techs call for help with a circuit she was having trouble with. I told her I had answers. She told me her problem and I thought about it. Then I answered I didn't know. She stated that wasn't an answer and I told her it was. Between the two of us we got the circuit back in service.
Same with model airplanes we sometimes get stuck and need help. Anyway have fun, DOC Holliday
