hello to all and thank you for having me here,i would like to introduce myself.My name is Butch Hopping formerly of moline IL,now living near Belleville,IL,flew free flight in the 70s c/l in the 80s and r/c in the 90s to present having recently moved i have decided to return to c/l and would like to know if there are any clubs in or around the Belleville IL area.so again thank you.Butch aka the butcher.

If you would like to meet some of the area's c/l flyers, come out this Sunday to Buder Park (I-44 and 141 just west of I-270 in St. Louis County).  We are having our annual Olde Tyme Contest.  Several of our members live on the "East Side" and you can meet them at the contest.  I think we will be starting around 9am and continue into the early afternoon.

 Welcome back Butch! I'll let you off on the R/C history, you came back for the "real deal".

 The Buder Park guys are a great bunch and they have a great flying site. Hopefully it's logistically friendly for you.

   Hello Butch;
  Welcome to the area and to C/L stunt. Belleville is not too far away from Buder and the Library that the Lafayette Esquadrille holds their club meetings at. Make sure Steve Smith has your email address for the weekly call out to what I like to call "The Usual Suspects" for fun flying at Buder. Still a fair bit of flying to do yet before Old Man Winter takes hold and there are several of us that still attempt the All Season Flyer routine of putting in a couple of flights each month all year round.
