I heard that some people missed the new sign at the park. .The club took the job in hand and is proud of the results.

Looks great. Maybe I will make up that way one of these years. DOC Holliday

While recently I hasve been unable to get to Portland and the GREAT lying circle at Delta Park I am very proud to belong to the Fireballs club. Ginny and I have been talking lately abut simply making a Monday or Wed. trip there just to spend the day punching holes in the sky, telling lies and laughing with some of the younger members. Perhaps even present a free new Carrier Trainer to the club. (see picture of said ARC kit below) One other club nationally will recieve a feee ARC kit as well.

I am also a long distance Fireball's Member, and am pleased to no end that the Delta Park gang of fliers made the effort to restore the sign.
This let 100's of people who have no idea what we do on that paved circle of ground get a chance to realize that it has been going on for 50 years - 1/2 a Century!! It is a part of Portland, the NW and model airplane history in general from the time before TV, Video games and 24/7 info feeds.
Pretty cool chunk of dirt / grass / pavement there- historic don't ya know? see ya soon!
Oh yeah- I need another plane- but the OS 35 is ready to roar!!!

Maybe the old one(sign) could be donated to the AMA museum??? :!
-
I'm glad you clarified "the donate the old one to AMA" with "The sign" -
otherwise there are a few guys in the picture who would be wondering if they were getting a one way trip to Muncie! Just Joking !!!
( Hey where did Leo go??) Alright I'LL STOP NOW. I will see you fine gentlemen this week. Please don't hurt me!

Somebody check with Ricardo Entwhistle and see how his pooch is...the little feller keeled over at the contest today, and Richard packed up and left. Yesterday's 90F+ heat got to the little guy, we think. Hope the Subaroo's airconditioning brought him around alright. :o Steve
PS: The sign looks real good...

Oh no!
I'll hope for the best, and take a little snack for Nick tomorrow. We all love the little fellow. Delta Park is just not the same friendly place, when Rich and Nick aren't there.
Hey Rich, tell Nick I'm bringing Dixie! That should cheer him up! LL~
My patched up Skyray 35 needs a check flight.

WOW.......Not good news about "Nick".....

Let's hope that the dog is once again repeating his "fake health" episode he pulled in McMinnvile 2 or 3 years ago. After seaking help from a vet about the dogs' hurting leg the vet discovered nothing wrong, it simply being a ploy for attention. In doubt about that incident? Ask Richard.

Nick is all good, he went flying today, came home and ate a ton of food. I think he just got a little too hot.
