New designs available
« on: April 29, 2006, 04:25:45 PM »
After mucho frantic test flying in the few good days we've had so far, 2 new designs are ready to offer: LilDiamond and LilGeo, pictured below, plans/construction drawings $6, kits if enough (any?) requested.  Still working on others, including the LittleAxe (patience, Frank) and LilPearl, almost ready.

Remember these are designed specifically for the $6.95 Cox production .049.  Little engine doesn't do bad for what it is.  I still haven't found the "perfect" prop for it--I'm using a 5x3 cut down to 4 1/4" to get the rpms.  Stock Cox paddleblade 5x3 seems to lug it a little.

True, true...LittleAxe still lives; it's my main project at the moment.  It shows such potential, I don't want to turn loose of it until it's just right.

It'll be sweet when you have it ready for release, put me down for one when they are ready y1

Greg,
I got some of Ray's kits last year. They build easy. You won't go wrong getting a kit or set of plans from him.
John Paris is currently playing with the Barn Door and Mini Delta I got from Ray.

Guys, I don't think I'll ever offer the LittleAxe as a kit, I'd have to charge more than anyone would pay. ($100, +?) This is a pretty complicated build.  Plans, yes, then you can cut your own kit.

Greg,Greg,Greg................................Please note that you still have all your k-points.

Here is a trim suggestion that will help you get your planes to track better.....Wrap up a two ounce coil of solder and fasten it to your inboard wing tip. This is the one secret John and the rest of the guys didn't want you to know.

Also if you would like to consistently get one flip starts.....prime your engine with thin ca.
