This is no suprise that Will helped get you guys flying.  He not ony is a great guy and modeler but he owned a flying school in his younger days.  You were learning from a pro.

Thanks Jeff well it has taken about 2years since i said i would like to fly again and hopefully with my grandaughter I feel like a kid with new toy very happy and very thankful for both Jeff and Wills help it wasnt all that easy as we had to fend off a couple dogs and a curious neighbor,i never realized how hard it would be to find a flying field. Will i hope we can get together soon and fly.

I'm happy to report that Ron entered our Dayton stunt contest today and successfully completed two flights in the Basic Flight category.  Nice meeting you and hope you had fun.  Quite a week for you, way to go!

Bruce

P. S. - Hope you enjoy the new handle you won in the raffle, complete with a safety thong ;) (Sorry, couldn't resist.  Hope to see you at the FCM contest.)

Sounds like another has been bitten by the bug.  Tell him not to push it too hard as I have seen too many try too hard and quit. H^^

Way to go again, Ron!!!! #^ #^ #^  I agree to not push it too hard.  Get comfortable with level flight, then baby wingovers to get used to flying the airplane through instead of just jerk & pray.  When the wingovers are getting to be fun instead of heart attack producers, start making them steeper until you are totally comfortable with going straight over your head.  The you can move on from there.
Again WAY TO GO!

Bruce,
I HATE missing your contest!  I'll only make one this year due to some insane scheduling of duties at church.  (That has to be our own at the FCM.) They can't schedule me past that one, you betcha!  Be glad to see you there.

It happens that I just posted the pictures below on SSW. "Three Texans and a Ringmaster". Ron Young sent them to me to compress and post there. I asked if I could just post them here, because they don't compress enough, with the exposed aggregate concrete background. The Ringmaster is lovely, so you know he can build and finish really well.  Good to see him flying contests already. That's Ron on the left in the picture with the 3 Texan 1000's.

We had three people flying one of the club's trainers yesterday at Auburn Airport:  Allen Tucker, Mrs. Tucker, and their friend (a gurl), whose name I didn't get. All flew without breaking more than a prop. Then we put Allen up on his Skyray 35 ARF/.25LA-S (ARF because I bought it at a swapmeet from Gerald Schamp, who bought it from a club member in Oregon for the .21FP on it). I traded it off to Allen for a gallon of fuel, since I hadn't flown it since about '07. Allen did ok with the Skyray and with Randy Powell's "guidance", did a lazy 8 and an inside loop (over asphalt, which I thought was pretty risky biz).  y1 Steve

     Hi All
Well for me getting out in front of a bunch of people i didnt know was more difficult than the actual flight. But having a ball ,the support from everyone has been great. I will try to heed your advice and take it slow so far that has been the most repeated advice .
    Thanks again to all
     Ron

ps im not what youd call long winded but do appreciate the support
