New AMA SURVEY
« on: February 15, 2008, 10:02:23 AM »
Hello All,

The AMA is running another survey about members interest in modeling.  It is in our best inerest that we fill out the survey and indicate your interest in control line modeling.  The results of these surveys are used to determine services that the AMA offers it’s members .
The survey link is:

Maybe this ought to be to the open forum so everyone can see it.  Not everyone gets this far down on the forum listing.  DOC Holliday

I responded and I also think that it is our best interest for all CL fliers to respond. Seems I recall that the AMA breakdown is RC 94 %  CL 3 %  FF 3% (that silly looking thing is a percentage sign). If every CL or FF flier responded it would change those percentages  considerably.

As my friend Artie Johnson used to say.." VERY INTERISTING"....

So were is AMA going with this....looks like they would like to DROP the magazine!!! ...... MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!!!

At a time when the dollar is hard to stretch and our area of the hobby has so little coverage, AMA wants to "RETHINK" it's magazine application.  I've been an AMA member since 1963, seems our yearly membership dues are just not enough.   What was your take on the direction of that survey??

    REGARDS.    DAVE.
Regards
Dave

I sent mine in and had a hard time saying anything too complimentary. I did suggest that a reduction in the preponderance of RC stuff would be appreciated! Joe Wagner's column got my highest marks in so far as the MA mag is concerned. If they put it out digitally at least that would reduce the piles of RC paper we get!

Thanks for the heads-up.  I sent in mine, with requests to reduce R/C and increase C/L coverage.
