Found this in the basement of a 100 year old building in Down Town Tulsa. Hauled it home today and plan to fix it up for running around the property and hauling airplanes between the shop and my flying field. All I know about it is it's a Cushman, 3 wheel battery operated scooter. It has a 24 volt 0.8 HP motor and runs off four 6 volt golf cart batteries. Has a charger bolted under the seat and a storage compartment behind the seat. Sure would like to know more about it but all my internet searches came up empty...

Thats Easy;
Just "Google" Cushman Electric Scooters and have a ball? There's plenty of info there.

Believe me I have spent hours looking at google results and have yet find anything close. The only 3 wheelers I could find were two wheels up front and one in the rear. Plenty of info on 3 wheel golf carts and gas powered scooters but this particular scooter seems to be fairly rare. Even found a site with Cushman's history but no mention of this scooter, posted a photo on a scooter site, 120 views and nobody knew anything about it.. . Hoping when I pull the charger out I can find something with a date stamp. Big mystery...
This is what it looks like under the hood...

Yep, finally found the right phrase to search for.. It's a 60's Cushman Minute Miser industrial work cart.. Had found the newer ones but they obviously don't look anything like this one.. Mistery solved.. Thanks guys..

There is all kinds of information and parts available, Cushman's have quite a following. I just happen to have a friend who restores Cushman scooters. If you can't find any info and would like to know more about it I can run it by him. Neat find!!
Also, if you want to "upgrade" the electronics, post this in the electric form......... :P

"Electronics" is probably the wrong term for this. Everything will be VERY mechanical. Bet if you look close, there is some cast iron in this critter. I like it.

Ya it has the old Resistor speed control just like my Cushman golf cart.. I would like to upgrade them both to solid state but commercial golf cart controllers are a bit pricey. Don't think a model airplane speed controller would quite handle it ;D
