Tim.
Can you turn the thermostat down some for this coming weekend?
Hot time on the stunt circles. A couple of southern boys will be there.

John,

We installed new central air conditioning for the entire field this year, should take care of that issue......  ;D ;D ;D

Look forward to seeing you all.

Tim my wife is highly agitated about me coming down to attend your your meet. This is  due to the scorching temps and high humidity predicted for this weekend. I was so looking forward to it,but don't want to upset the applecart here. I'm sure you'll understand....Have fun ,PhillySkip

Vince and I just left the field. Car said 99F on the way home. Humidity off the charts. Can't wait to get to Hurlock in the morning. Hot or cold it will be a fun contest!

Has this been the worst weather for flying this year?

Hi Tim et Al, Sondra and I drove on up Friday afternoon. All was fine until our van had a caliper stick on its left front wheel. Long story we stopped on the side of the road 1/2 mile from the toll booth of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to see what if anything might be done. a very nice Maryland State Trooper stopped by to give us a hand. He staid with us for about 45 minutes all the while bumper to bumper traffic crawled by us! I contacted our Road Service for support and was reassured help would be there within 30 minutes!!! No help ever came, the very hard to understand Indian or Pakistani man put me on hold for 35 minutes! Finally after 3 hours of waiting a call came to tell us that their tow Truck had been preempted by a Po;ice Call!!

Later another call came from an English speaking lady who said that all their tow truck contacts were busy and that we should have a nice day!!! I started the car it went forward and backward without much if any drag so we cast off not knowing if or how far we'd get!

We got to the Motel and next day to the field. Talk about Hot!!! this day was a scorcher! Flew OTS in Wind off the Sarah and more of the same for Profile! Attendance was off from prior years but did enjoy seeing many old friends. As usual the food was excellent.

Many Thanks to the RC and UC Clubs of Hurlock for a fun time. Maybe next year this thing could be held in October or January!!!

PS the Car got us home via Rout 13 only going the exact speed limits!

Many thanks to Tim and everyone else involved in putting on this great stunt contest.  The field was in great shape, the flying was excellent and the weather was perfect except for the heat.  How hot was it?  I can honestly say on my second flight I became disoriented and actually did my overhead 8's 90 degrees away from where I should have done them.  When I landed I was sure that I had left out at least one maneuver.  Never had that happen before, I was totally out of it.  It was still a fun day.  Thanks to the guys who labored over those hot grills cooking lunch for us, I don't know how they did it.  The burgers were delicious.

Looking forward to returning next year.

The Eastern Shore folks always put on a great contest.  Even better, this year Phil didn't get buzzed by low-flying F-16s (or whatever they were, I didn't see them having dove under the picnic table).  Yes it was hot, but Tim and the guys had 2 huge ice-coolers of water and soda and were careful to keep the judges hydrated.

The winners got T-shirts and Jim Coll pins - a nice break from the usual dust-collecting trophy.

Palko flew fantastic, as usual.  Can you imagine how many times he could win the Walker Cup if he wasn't having fun building Dyna-jet stunters and practicing flying formation with Banjock?  Seems to me he's got his priorities right for maximizing the fun!
