« on: August 10, 2009, 12:46:34 PM »
I just ordered a new 2.5 Diesel engine

It is claimed to turn 8x6 APC at 14,000rpm

from :

http://www.clubtamaran.com/parramotorING.htm

Have a look at the spec

I hear it turns a 8x6 APC at 14,000 rpm

How fast do you suppose it would turn a 8x6 APC?

(sorry, no offense intended)

Looks like a very well made and thought out engine.  But, how much in US dollars?  DOC Holliday

As of a few minutes ago (it changes rapidly), €110 = $155

See: http://www.xe.com/ucc/

I think I'll add that currency converter to the Downloads Forum; it works pretty well and very quickly

Looks pretty much like the current F2D motors, and it costs less. Which is good.

Combat 15s turn near 30,000 rpm. Granted. On small props. We've had FP15s turn over 22,000 rpm with a 7x6. That's a bushed motor (no ball bearing.)
