TOPClass 2018
« on: May 28, 2018, 06:48:59 PM »
Only the second contest I competed in since February 2017.   Had what I consider a good turn out over recent years.   I managed a third place finish in INT/ADV(6 entries I believe).   Did not take enough pictures but hopefully enough to show. H^^

See the Box Car Chief, on the grass in picture #4 ? It has purple trim, also. Thanks Doc, for the shots of a fun contest!
I will build it. It's gonna be really difficult to find me with an ARF. I know every bit of my airplane!

Terry TopClass now shares a field with the Blue Sky Squadron RC club in Berryton, Ks. on Topeka’s south east corner- out in wild turkey country- and we saw a few last weekend.

Terrence, you are just going to have to get out of that dungeon,   gage Park circle has been gone for a long time.   Then they had a better circle west of town but some politician got money put in his pockets to remove the circle and put in a water park.  Haven't been out to see since I heard the circle was gone.    Can't thank the RC club enough for providing a circle.  It is 10 miles closer to me than the last one. mw~

John,

Is this an annual event?   If so, does it fall on certain week of the month each year?  Also, is it a Saturday and Sunday event?

Thanks,

Joe Ed

Yes it is a Memorial Day weekend date.   If you google maps or see Microsoft maps, type in paulen road and 69th.  It is SE of intersection.    Address is:   4535 SE 69th    Berryton, KS   66409.    H^^

Terrance here is why I haven't been flying at field much this month.  Seems after a rain the brainless turd likes to play on the circle with his junk heap.  Dave is getting disgusted with all the work we do.  I told Dave to tell park manager that if he supplied the materials I would do the work to maybe put a stop to this.   Nothing like steel pipe sunk in the ground.  8 foot pipe with about 3 foot above ground and steel cable.  enough room between two pipes for the mower to pass through.    HB~>
