Neat V tail.
The wing is very different. Small.

The plane above is from Dennis and Archie Adaminsin - Hi aspect ratio Gemini - Circa 1990's - I do not know which one is holding it.

It was White, with an american flag style paint scheme.

I was never that good lookin. That is Arch-3 my nephew. The bird is (I think) 63" span and 630 squares; actually pretty good size. Bird still exists in good shape, only problem is that is has slimer power...

Doubtful. Conversions are a pain, especially old airplanes. It is amazing how deep oil gets into a structure you think is sealed! Arch-3 has considered salvaging the wing and tail and fitting it to one of his F/G fuselages - that is also a longshot as he is currently going full tilt kitting EF-1 electric Pylon racers.

Oh man Dick, don't encourage me! Here's some pix taken in Lexington in 1972. Shouldn't be too hard to play "Name that Pilot" with pix #3. Pix 4 is a bit of a ringer...

Here are a couple that I scanned a few years ago. I am pretty sure that Archie won Advanced with the one on the bottom and it was in or near the front row at appearance judging. Archie is an outstanding builder/finisher, just like the rest of the family.

I thought this plane had a fiberglass fuse or were you offering a glass fuse for it, the article was so long ago I don't remember. Anyway I always thought this was a slick looking design.

I always loved the cockpit of the Magister. Notice that every airplane in the group picture at Lexington had cockpit detail... Boy have things changed. Now the pilot has to fly IFR because he can't see through the paint.

Even Bob Hunt's first Genisis has cockpit detail, then the paint took over.

GREAT PIX. Thank you for posting. Archie learned how to build by building/competing with Peanut Scale Indoor models - thus he learned how to build light & true.

Archie has glass fuselages for both the white & the silver airplanes shown above. The silver bird has plug-in wings too.

The original Magister was built off a plan, which has since disappeared. The airplane is hanging in Dad's basement, so drawing plans is on the bucket list. For a long time I have also been wanting to build a modernized version with a high AR wing too - more like the full size. So many airplanes, so little time...

My slimeless, Foxless, vee tails. First one Peter Pan, Dallas Sherman design from June 1956 Flying Models, built in 1957, Jetex Scorpion power. Big one scaled up 1.5X, EDF, built in 2007, 50 yrs later.

I thought the pilot was a little low.

That Magister with electric power with retracts would really be a wow factor. Big Art knew how to get you young lads motivated. How about the story he tells of your first wing with out his help. Need your version of the story as he stated your wing went in the trash.

Wow, I *love* the look of that airplane (Belgian Fouga) in flight! Dennis, your models look nearly scale! Add some wing tanks, perhaps?

Surely that must be an illegal maneuver for a full sized aircraft; I'd love to have witnessed it.

Despite a ruthless rationalisation of projects, the Gemini is back on my list of "Mustbuilds".

Incidentally, I think there's an error on the plan. The u/c seems to emerge from the wing at different points, depending on whether you look at the side view or the plan.

The U/C is correctly shown in the wing top view. The side view is for reference. The plans were drawn by a 15 yo kid which was me 22years ago.

The Gemini was a great flying airplane. It was powered by a very strong OS FP 40 modified by Big Art and Dave Adamisin. Model weighed 51 ozs and flew on 63ft lines. I flew it @ 3 nationals from 1989 to 1991. Placed 2nd every time I flew it.

I flew it again a couple of years ago and it still flies great. It is pretty old, but still has the amazing corner and tracks like it is on rails. Would make a great ECL because of it's low drag planform.

I look forward to seeing one built
