Mike, that’s great!
Someone has a lot of free time.

Here’s a display in New Jersey.

I’ve visited it a number of times.

That is some train lay out.   Must be a fortune there.   Especially when he shows the inside area. D>K

I think that is G gauge?? If you think stunt models or model airplanes in general can get expensive, look into a lay out like one  of these and hold onto you hat!. I happened onto one the other day where the owner had a scale snow plow to use to clear his tracks after a snow fall. That was actually pretty cool along with being functional!!

I keep going back and watching it over and over.  Just fascinates me but then again, I am easily amused.  LOL.

Yes, it's G gauge. One of the most captivating G gauge indoor layouts I've visited is EnTRAINment , Exit #22, off of I-71. Floor to ceiling scenery in three time periods. Civil War, WW II, & modern. Worth the stop coming back from the USAFM at Dayton, Ohio. Just returned from the children's Museum in Cincinnati with the Grandson & Family. Small G gauge layout in the lower floor and AWESOME display of prewar Std Gauge & O Gauge trains filling many shelves. Full size operating Carousel on the top floor. Yes...We all took a ride!  Worth a visit! Many spectacular operating layouts in different gauges around the Country.  I even have a few vids on Youtube.
Have a great week, stay safe & "Tight Lines!" H^^

Hi Mike
THANKS for sharing.  That is an incredible layout.  You are right, watching all the loops & switching is mesmerizing.  On the same page there is a short clip of him using his snow plow to clear the way...

For a layout of that size, is the  power still coming through the rails or are the engines self-powered?  Seems you could put a pretty serious li-poly battery inside and not powering the rails seems like a huge simplification.  I presume it has an RC control that he can carry along as he follows the train around.

I dont know how the electronics work but I just found this fascinating Dennis.  I can not even to begin to guess how much he has invested in the layout.  Kinda makes me feel like a kid again.

Model railroaders go to such great lengths to detail the layouts but I’ve never seen a single rail car covered in rust and graffiti like the real thing  LL~

If you read the comments on that page he said the components are made to withstand the outdoors.  Still, I wonder how much the elements will degrade that neat layout.
