Title: NEST Fun-Fly
Post by: ChrisSarnowski on May 20, 2012, 07:12:12 PM
NEST had its spring fun-fly this weekend in Wrentham, MA.

Thanks to Damian Sheehy for making it all come together, plus running the BBQ.

Thanks also to the lawn mowing team, and the folks who setup and tore down both days.

I had a great time. First time.flying this year. Need to get the cob webs out. Best of all was flying a slow combat ship. What a difference from the Voodoo era! Thanks too Brian Stas.

Great to see you there, Lyle. We had really good attendance both days. My photos don't tell the whole story - I just snapped a few pictures with my cell phone Sunday afternoon. We probably had 20 pilots each day. Lots of fun!!

Chris, Damian and all the NEST guys, thanks for a super fun-fly!  Great to see everyone, and get a few flights in too.
First flight on a slow(?) combat ship, thanks Brian...I now have LOTS more respect for combat guys!

What a wonderful gathering it was! Man, I wish we had it every month! Old friends came out that I haven't seen in a long time. New friends, new panes!

Oh, and this Twister had its 6th(that's right number 6!) "unintended" inverted landing. That's 6 inverted vs 1 level. That was Damian's first! Welcome to the Lucky Twister Club Damian!

If it were another weekend, we may have made the trip there.  We couldn't go because my prom was the same weekend  y1

Steve Y and Steve T,

Thanks for the Twister, it's the gift that keeps on giving! I was very happy to have a turn-key practice-ready plane for the Spring. I really think it has 9 lives! The blades of grass just spooked the brittle tissue on my outsides. That tissue is now nice and "drummy" again.

Sorry I missed the "fun fly" this year.  I'm in the process of moving back into MA,

and I've been doing it over the last 4 weeks.  Sold my house in Woonsocket, and am moving to Webster.

Dismantled my hobby room and everything is in boxes in my new basement.  Will take awhile to

get it all sorted out.  Glad everyone had fun !!!
