Title: Needed some floats on my plane....
Post by: Paul Taylor on June 04, 2012, 05:06:44 PM
We had a real gully washer come thru this morning. A few thunder boomers too. But by lunch time every thing had cleared out and around 3 pm I found myself home alone. So I loaded up the truck and went to check out one of the local parks. Sure enough not a soccer kid or parent in sight. There was a path out to what I call the center of my flying spot and large water puddles scattered all around. Take off area was high and dry so out comes the stooge. Each flight I would whip it around to the take off area, not may puddles. On the last flight I figured I better work on a smooth landing, hit a big water puddle and it looked like a water landing on Flying Wild Alaska TV show. (BTW that starts up again this Friday!) Got in 3 flights then hit the bottom of the fuel jug.

If the weather holds out tomorrow I will pick up 2 more gallons of Lou's Brew, keep the stooge in the truck and fly with my coach. ;D
