I may be looking for a new internet host for my businesses internet site and email. My present provider is having email problems he can't seem to get fixed. I need to be able to use Microsoft Front Page and assign email address. Ya I know Front Page is a piece of crap but the guy we had working for us that set up the original site used Front Page and I am too lazy to change it.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Looks like my provider has taken the threat of moving the site seriously and the problems seem to be fixed.. Time will tell.

Bob, I am pretty sure Walter Umland is in the hosting business, at least in a limited way.
FWIW, when our club's site was first thrust into my hands, it was hosted on a 386 in a member's son's basement. He had over 80 286's or 386's in the basement, all running 24/7, hosting various silly websites. This was all done on phone lines, and I think he had something like 10 lines into his house. You might consider putting your site on a computer of your own, maybe an old one. A website really doesn't take all that much computer space, until you get into forums with archives, photos and movies. Our site is under 14 mb, and there's some stuff on the server that isn't actually functioning on the website. Might be worth considering, anyway. (051) Steve

Hi Steve,
Good thought and under the right circumstances it is fairly easy to host your own site. You do need a reliable connection to the Internet and preferably a fixed IP address, neither one of which I have. It can be done but the cost for a good Internet connection is far greater than paying someone else to host a site.
Out here the phone lines are so bad I can barely connect at 9600 and my wireless connection goes down at least once a week, sometimes for several hours. Don't think I would base a business web site on that kind of reliability.
