Does anyone recognize this handle or have one that they use? I was told it is a very good handle. Thanks, Tim

I'm pretty sure that is a Mike Scott handle. He lives near Dallas.

I have a couple of those that were made by Ray Dore' I think is his name he lives somewhere around Lafayette. I used them before I started using hard point handles they are great quality and very adjustable. Mr Andy has some of them in stock at the hobby shop. Not sure who designed them but I believe Ray still makes them.

I bought it from Mr Andy yesterday. I was looking for a hard point and he pulled this one out and said he uses them and likes them. I was trying to get some input on them because they came like that in a zip lock bag with no name or instructions with it. The lock down was a hex cap bolt and a lock nut but I changed it to a thumb bolt and a wing nut that is seen in the picture. This handle fits my hand perfectly and is very comfortable and light. Way better than my ancient Hard Rock and Sullivan Insta Just! I am waiting on Andy to get my new lines in (don’t ask) so that I can fly next week. Tim

that type of handle is a good handle for most uses.
Some will say you need a hard point handle, and I don't want to start that debate.
But if you are just starting out, and are fiddling with lines, different airplanes, spacing and everything else, this is a good Handle to use.
Wen you can make lines the same, understand how spacing affects control feel, then worry about a hard point handle.
I like the finish and the inlays.

Dick Byron initially made these handles, I believe. Mike Scott now sells them.

Yes that one was made by me. Mike still makes them and does a very good job. Actually all handles work different for different people, Try them all. y1

Nice to know that the makers are on this forum. Looks to be an excellent handle and can not wait for the weekend to try it out! Very very comfortable in my hand too. Once I have the handle properly adjusted, I will replace my thumb bolt/wing nut with the original cap bolt/lock nut to secure the cable. Thanks, Tim
