Title: Need help setting timer
Post by: Paul Taylor on August 28, 2022, 11:48:35 AM
Hey guys.
I posted over in the electric section but looks like not many people monitor that area so forgive me for posting in the general area. I am humbly seeking knowledge.

I have a Hubin timer and a Badass ESC. I have read the cookbook and the instructions with the timer. The answer may be there but I’m not sure what the settings should be. I don’t want to configure it wrong and let out the magic smoke. 🥴
Anyone able to help?

Thanks

Which Hubin timer and is the ESC rated for 6 cell batteries?
If the timer has pots the instructions say how long wide open will last so start about 3/4 open and time the flights. Nothing fancy until you know when it will quit. The programmable timer readout is in minutes.
The ESC's are rated for the amount of cells. I tried a 5 cell battery on a 4 cell ESC and it didn't work. There's fine print on the ESC somewhere.

Thanks Perry for the reply.
It's FM-9 with a remote push button. The ESC is a BadAss Rebel 45 AMP.

I think I got it figured out.
