Classifieds on this forum, or eBay. Sure it's not an Evo .36?

Just read up on the evolution and its a 36 . That's on the small side of the recommended size but I buils super light planes . Inn think I'll order one and a 40 RC for a RC plane I'm building
Thanks Jim

I've seen a couple of those airplanes fly with LA46's and it seemed to be an Ideal combination. That would be my first choice and an ST46 would be my second. I think you'll be disappointed with the Evolution 36.

Randy I think your right

I want to just send you to Tower Hobbies with directions to just get an LA 46 -- but the CL version is discontinued, and the RC version is currently out of stock!!
Da Bay has some LA 46's, including "new in box", but they're all RC -- you'd have to scratch for a venturi.
Does Enya have something right sized? Who's selling Enya engines?

Getting a venturi for an LA46 is a no brainer. Jim Lee, Randy Smith, and many others provide these.

If you are referring to the Pat Johnston designed Bearcat by Brodak with a full fuselage I have one with the LA.46 and it works very well. I hope you are an expert scratch builder as the plane is challenging to build from the kit. It's really nice when completed. You will need a very long tongue muffler as the cowl is quite large.

It's the one with a built up fuse and yes I concider my ,self a expert builder I have had my own design's show upin a couple of magazine RC not control line . What a surprise
Are the OS LA Engines that are Blue are they worth getting !
Thanks JIM

Jim, the OS factory conversion parts are available from Tower.
You need—
The FP 40 venturi, OS Part No 23312000, Tower Stock No LXCX05, $11.99
OS 20-25FP-S NVA, OS Part No 22311000, Towqer stock No LXCR49, $13.49
I suggest that you also order the FP 20/25 Venturi, OS Part No 22312000, Tower Stock No LXCW99, $9.49.
The FP 20/25 venturi is worth a try but probably too small. However, we have several successful LA 46 installations at our club that used the small—and no longer available—FP 35/40 venturi. Bore the FP 20/25 venturi to 17/64" dia and you have an equivalent to the small FP 35/40 venturi.
All this stuff bolts straight into the front of the crankcase without any drilling of crankcase or venturis—easy!

RSM Distribution carries in stock venturis and ST needle valve assemblies for the following engines:
OS 35,40 FP
LA 25
LA 46
ST 46
ST 60

Ok I want to thank all,of you guys for all the advice and information I ended up buying a new OS LA 46 for $79 and a new evolution NX 46 for $99 . Not sure if that's a decent price or not . I'm still in the market for a engine for a Brodak profile P51 B that will go together before the Bearcat
Again thanks everyone
Jim
