thanks in advance.

These screws are 5/40 with hex heads preferred. Their length should be 8mm. The head bolt are a bit longer you might order some of them just to complete your inventory in case you need one or two later. The hex heads work much better than the stock slot/ blade heads.

Is the G21 40 the same venturi as the G21 46 because I've made hundreds of those and have a brass master venturi to copy.

Oil up those 5-40's good before you screw them into your ST, because they're NOT the exact same thread. The OEM's are METRIC, 3m-.6....but awful close to 5-40. The head size is bigger and may interfere in the counterbore in cylinder heads. But at least they'll use a 3/32" hex (Allen) wrench, same as 4-40's, FYI. They work fine. Lots of ST and OS engines are out there using 5-40's. Tom Lay used them on the early ST engines like yours, but the G.51's use 3m-.5, which is apparently a newer metric standard. Confusing?
I'm sure Phil meant Socket Head screws and not "hex head". Absolutely the way to go, vs. Phillips or JIS heads. y1 Steve

The metric screws is why I keep my local ACE Hardware in business. I use socket/allen head screws, but for my Tigre .15 I had to settle for slotted screws.
