I have finally finished and am about to fly my ARF P40 for the first time, however when I check the control system the pushrod from the bellcrank to the flap appears to be flexing/bouncy when I give full up control. The pushrod wire is 0.072 and I put 2-56 threaded coupler at the end. I was looking for 4-40 threaded coupler that will fit into 0.072 but couldn't find one.
At first, I thought the culprit was the pushrod wire, but it was actually caused by the clevis hitting the spacer of the 4-40 ball link that I installed.
I then replaced the clevis with DU-BRO 2-56 threaded ball link, and this actually solves the flex problem, but I don稚 feel it痴 secure enough to fly with.
Has anyone used that DU-BRO 2-56 threaded ball link for control system purposes?
The other options/combinations I was thinking are:
1. Go back with the clevis but replace the 4-40 ball link into smaller 2-56 in a hope that I'll get get smaller spacer that I can use as a standoff so it doesn稚 hit the clevis.
2. Go back with the clevis but replace the 4-40 ball link into clevis as well.
What are your thoughts on this?
Looking forward to hearing more from you, and any ideas are welcomed.
Best,
Kafin
