Now if you throw out the High score and the Low score...  S?P S?P  that would be a spread of about 50 points. Only one or two points per maneuver... WOW!!

This has been in the words of Dirty Dan.. quite a "knife fight".. not much wiggle room.

The judges certainly had their hands full.... at a great contest.

Well, not the same faces in the top 5 overall. Glad to see Doug, Derek and Matt make the cut. That is very cool. Dave is just in another world.

Go Dougie!

Sparky,
The shot of Windy alone with the plane is great. Nothing to do with Windy, it is just a great photo. Needs very little cropping. It is a study of concentration.

Thanks sooo much for your time and effort with these photos and reports. It shows you really care about the people on your forum as opposed to just putting in your officials. Again, thanks.

They had really better get going!  There is some Nasty weather about to hit Chicago and looks like some of it will affect weather in Muncie about or before 12:00 PM.

I'm not sure, I just looked at the radar, and that weather is still west of Chicago.  I think it would affect the weather later in the day probably when the flyoff is over.

Good luck to the top 5.

Dougie's been a cussin.

Great news for all.

I heard Dave is flying incredible and his new little plane with the big motor works very well.

Good to see Matt made it.  Matt might be the nicest CL stunt flyer on the planet.

Congrats to all the finalists. Sounds like Dave is the dominant man for a while. I would love to see the stats on his airplane. Is it the same one that he flew at the worlds?

We in the Dallas area are really proud of Doug. He used his "old" airplane, that fits him like a glove. He has become a devotated family man, and has done this with much less practice than in the past. Quite an achievement! Doug is also a really good guy!

Ed,
Just a comment on the pictures. While the shot of Eric and Derek is good of the individuals, what makes the photo of Windy outstanding, is the camera angle, and the gray sky, making it a study in solitude.

Derek's face was a study in shock when his name was announced as

the award made his week. We were all very happy for him. The new
trophy by Eric Taylor is awesome.

Hi Matt

That is the back half of a SIG 11 or 12 inch canopy, same as the SV-11 uses
