I just called the Baymont Inn in Muncie to make reservations for the nights of July 13-18. I was told for two people and two beds it would be $175 per night, with no special AMA rate. This was apparently due to Ball State graduation or some such thing. Day's Inn, just around the corner, gave me the same reservation with the AMA rate of $60 per night. That's only 1/3 of what Baymont wanted to charge. I've stayed at Baymont lots of times, but no more...

Does tradition mean nothing to you? They may have fixed the plumbing since the Signature days, so you wouldn't be getting the full experience at the Baymont anyhow.

This is also the week of the Iron Man competition. MAX BUKS for the hotels. Most reservations were gone a couple months ago. Might want to double check if you made reservations earlier. I have had it happen ( at the Baymont) they "lost" my reservation when Iron Man came to town.

I booked for the Baymont 3 weeks ago and got a $90 rate through Expedia. A quick check today shows rooms still available for $100.

Primitive camping on site is $5 a night. I have not seen it full yet. Always an option.

I booked best western months ago. Does anyone have any info on the cleanliness, etc.

Samuel and I have stayed there 3 times. Clean rooms and a nice pool with a hot tub too.

The guy who runs the Baymont is a pirate. I had to argue with him and finally eliminate my Saturday night stay over to get a decent rate out of him.

Just cancelled my reservation last week. It was somewhere near the college.
