This is a priority call to all attending the 2013 US Nats!!
Your fellow stunt fliers from around the world are very keen to see and hear what's going on. So to that end we need someone in attendance to take the Stunt Pilots Pledge and ensure there are adequate photos and news updates!
This is not to say there is only one position available! As many as possible would be appreciated!! Since virtually every phone now has a camera no excuses will be allowed!!
Start your own thread and give us the dear diary updates on your own Nats adventure! From the weigh in ( actual numbers here is optional) to the magnificent display at the concours, to the early morning practice sessions and the inevitable "Nats" issues that every pilot has when you get the "...hmmmm it's never done THAT before...." All the way to your first round and on! Tell us YOUR story! Make sure we here from every category from beginner to open! The more the merrier!
Please know you will receive the usual compensation of $100's per day. Naturally, you will forego the collection of the monies since you did it for the love of the sport! Your support will of course mean that fate shall smile upon you and your flights! Good Karma to all posters! Thanks in advance for your generosity!

I have been publishing NatsNews for at least nine years. I believe your picture was in there one year. Go to AMA, then look for NatsNews and click to allow it to find its way to your computer.

If Dave Trible does the same report like he did during the top 5 last year, I'm sure we'll all feel like we're there watching the flying.

Allen Brickhaus has provided excellent Nats News reports on CL Stunt for a number of years. Expect more of the same next week.

Gentlemen, I am well aware of the excellent job Allen B ha s been doing for us. A gracious thank you to him for his tremendous efforts, I will certainly look up his efforts at the AMA site.
Please know I meant no slight to him or anyone else, the post was to encourage viewpoints from as many competitors as possible that the Nats stories may have a venue for those of us unable to attend this year.
I, personally, find one of the best parts of all the Nats I've been to is the individual stories. The stories of how the competitors overcame their challenges to succeed in their event.
Allen has done a magnificent job for us but he can't be everywhere and write everything. He certainly has covered the event well. Again, my suggestions was only to add to the coverage not replace something that's already underway and being done well.
Make more sense now?

I will try to contribute what I can from here. Understand I am competing so will need to be pretty focused and a little limited in getting around to it all. I learned from reporting the Topeka contest I can't do it all with respect to photos and commentary. Not enough fingers and toes. Though I sure will send some pics I hope others can do most of that and I'll do more writing. Mostly this is going to be fun! Nice to see Dave Platt at breakfast this morning. Have to pack up and move hotels today. BOTH motels seem to have lost the reservations I made last May. Hope everybody else has better luck. On to practice!

I agree that Allen does a great job every year. But he can't be everywhere. Nor can he publish every picture that he takes. The more people that can send updates the better.
And don't forget the one man stunt reporter for Flying Models.
I go through withdrawals twice a year... VSC and Nats time. Thanks to everyone ahead of time.

I forgot- don't drink the water! I bring a coffee maker with me each year but buy gallons a water at the grocery. This morning I used the hotel water and you can see the results in my cup!

If a small percentage of everybody who goes there posts a few photos and makes some comments on something they find interesting, there will be a good amount of interesting material. Maybe there could be a --- common ---thread here just for that.
Nobody'd have to have a huge responsibility but everybody could contribute a little.

Yes I agree. Please go ahead and title/start the thread and we'll all jump on. Do put the 2013 date in the title for future reference.
