Yes, wake turbulence at maybe 3/4 of the way around an outside round , despite back up normally. 90 degree roll, nothing to do.

If I had done something like pilot error, I would have been pretty angry with myself, but as it happened, it was just bad luck, and just rolled up the lines and threw the remains in the back of the van. Moving on.

I note that I have crashed twice in the last 30ish years, both at the NATS. And before that , the day before the NATS.

I am sorry to hear that, Brett. I think it's the toughest part of our event. I guess we all process things differently but Time & personal reflection regarding what's next seems to be part of it.

He's there but He's Judging. He might not be able to take videos of alot of the action. I believe he has someone else shooting video for him to post when he's able to.

I finally found some news. It is like there was some kind of blackout. Everybody seemed to think someone else was doing it. Makes you appreciate even more what Sparkey adds to our hobby.

Paul Walker got the Concourse award and from the scores Ken posted he didn't score high enough to win the Walker Cup.

As mentioned, Paul won the Concourse or Pilot's Choice award, and Orestes won Open. It doesn't say anything about who won the Walker Cup yet. At the time this was posted, they probably had to fly that off yet. But Orestes has his Yatsenko airplanes supplied to him in a kit form soo that he does enough construction to meet the B.O.M. requirements, and has for several years now.

I don't have any inside knowledge of what he does. At the time that this was all going on and being addressed, it was discussed here on Stunthanger and that's where I remember reading about it. They had the one year at the NATS where things were pretty loose, then that was corrected and once a more definitive description and interpretation was reestablished, Orestes approached Yatsenko and asked about getting his kits as per the rules, then he ran that by the rules committee, if I'm remembering correctly, and he got approval through proper channels. It's still a lot of work. With the correct search words I'm sure it could be found in the archives.
