Faith Line Wrapping Jig -- makes short order of the task. w/Pic.

I had to wrap some new lines and the thought of having my fingers hurting after I got done did not appeal to me.
G-Man reminded me of were I read about a line wrapping jig. ( For some reason I thought it was in SN's)

I made a jig kind of like Norm shows in this issue. Boy did it work great!
Most of the build time was looking for wood screws to hold the landing gear to the board.
If you do not have a wire wrapping jig, you are missing out on a real useful tool.
And my fingers do not hurt from holding the wire.
If I can find my camera I will show you what I got.

(Note: if you do not have an old set of landing gear, buy some aluminum stock at Home Depot. That is stock I am using. Just bent it to work.

Forgive me, but what line would I wrap and why?

I think I can imagine the setup involved. the wire to be wrapped would go through where the wheel axles bolted right?

So for lead outs or flying wires are you only wrapping the ends where the eye is?

You will have to pardon me but I have only built and flown one ship larger that half A and if this is what it is all about then I understand.

Yes Robert:

  Wrapping the lines means putting the eyelets on both ends and cutting the lines to  the length you wish to use. We understand you perfectly when you say you have not had the need to know this information before. I don't know how to take the pictures from the book to show you but if you search "Line Wrapping" you will find an excellent thread on the subject. Have fun making the step up to larger models.

But like Bill said, it is for wrapping the ends of your flying lines, and lead outs.
