PA's in 1st, 4th, 5th.  One of them was a .75, the others were .65's.

It is just me or does that tail wheel look twisted on take off?

Too much power maybe?  Nah.

I like the looks of the SV-11. Reminds me of something. <=  Oh yea, a Vector!

Too much up elevator or could be too much tail weight. LL~ LL~ LL~  Thanks for the pics.  Can never get enough H^^ of them.

Skewed tailwheel could be from model yawing to the direction it wanted to go, from the direction the launcher pointed it. Or possibly that it's just bent, from shipping, storage, etc. I don't know about you, but with piano wire being as crappy as it currently is, I'm reluctant to straighten something that works as-is. If it breaks, especially at a contest, you could be in a pickle.  y1 Steve

... or it could be a worn wheel hub wallered out from several hundreds of practice flights  ;)
That plane is not remotely tail heavy.

I wonder  why we are  separating pictures by the type engine they have in them :-)  ???

It's the first step in establishing yet another event.  We sent some people home from the Nats without first place stunt trophies.  This has to stop.

Actually, I think Will posted pictures of electric stunters on the electric forum and decided to post the others here.  The bad part is that Will was there and I didn't get to visit with him.

Howard ..I Think they all flew in the exact same event and all competed against each other.

Will is perfectly welcome to post all of the here together, or separate...doesn't matter much

:Yes, they all flew in the same event under the same conditions.  The winner is the one who worked the hardest and had the best set up.  But, to me they are all winners. H^^

Hi Gene,

It is a SV 22.  The SV 11, SV 22 and Vector (IIRC) are all from the Stunt Craft series.  The SV 11 was the first one I heard of, but there were others before it.

Randy can do a much better job of explaining this, I always get confused when it comes to "SV" (Stunt Craft, Stunt Vector) versus Ryt Flyte designs.  ;D   n~

You are correct it is a 22. Had SV 11 on my mind.

Hi Paul,

My first "modern stunter" was an original SV 11.  A great flying model!  Randy has redrawn the SV 11 for a pipe.  Whether you build a SV 11, or 22 or any of the other "SVs" is simply which one you like the looks of better. ;D

Title: Re: "concours' de motor"
Post by: dale gleason on July 25, 2012, 08:26:22 PM
The little-known "concours' de motor" award was a tie at this year's NATs.  Mike Greb's ROJett 65 tied with Dale Gleason's PA75. Mike's system involves a header muffler, whilst Dale's is a conventional pipe setup, proving no discrimination in the judging.

The title of the award is a little inaccurate, "concours' de moteur" is probably closer.

To be eligible, the powerplant must be of the internal combustion type. The rules for this award are known to few, and that will remain so. Be informed that electrics are at a distinct disadvantage for this award, as decibels are involved.

Dan Banjock's Dynajet Stunter would certainly be a contender, however, he was a judge and couldn't enter.

Noblers are reds,
and sometimes blues,
dynajets at night
display both.... hues.

That launch picture is a badass picture of Eric, especially with the look of total concentration on the face!

Steve, you just beat me to it..

Presenting the also little know award .

Concourse Eximo Award.

Extraordinary heroism not justifying the award of a Medal of Honor while engaged in an action of aircraft, military or civilian release. While engaged in launching operations involving restraint of an opposing foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an conflict against an opposing judging force in which the United States is not a belligerent party."

Hi Randy,

Are you sure there were "only" 10 before the SV-11?  ;D

How about listing the Ryt Flyte series?  If I see them written down I can remember easier (and copy them onto paper! LOL!! )

Thanks
Bill

Everyone in the Top Twenty at the Nats is a winner.  Just doing it  once is an excellent prrformance!

That is an affirmative!  I think that some don't really realize how difficult it is.
