Title: Nats Classic/OTS registration
Post by: Steve Fitton on May 21, 2009, 01:32:48 PM
Dumb question, but, how do you register for one of the unofficial events at the Nats?  Do you just sign up when you get there like a regular contest?

I should add that I will already be registered with AMA as an official competitor.

Hi, Steve

Sounds like a perfectly respectable question to me!!!

Contact Allen Brickhaus.  He is the CD of one of them.  If you don't have his email addy, im or email me and I will give it to you.

Take care,

Steve,

You find out who the CD for that particular flight event is, sign up and pay your flight fee with whomever he tells you to.  That's the way it worked the last time I flew in one of the unofficial events.

Unless they have changed it, you will have to register at AMA NATS Headquarters(otherwise known as the farm house).  Then you register at the pavilion over by the L-pad the day before the events.  If you not registered at the farm house they will not take your entry at the pavilion.

Both events are flown over on the grass pads.  DOC Holliday

You can pre-register just like the official events, but it's a different form on the AMA site.
