Hi Wayne

The NATs attendance for CL Stunt was down slightly this year, but not too much. Also we didn't have near as large of a foreign attendance as we have had in the recent past.
We did have some very very hard competition, as more and more people are showing higher flying skills. Dave Fitzgerald was just a "machine" all week long , and there was a lot of very young guys just wearing people out with their talented handle twisting!

Regards
Randy

By my estimation, Speed was strong, but Racing, Carrier, and Combat were off a bit.

Expert CLPA had 40 names, but only about 37 actual.

The calendar didn't hit us very well, with The Nats being added on directly after the Independence Day holiday.  With July 4th on a Saturday, and the day off being given on Friday, the "extra" travel day didn't us much good.   It may have put The Nats into conflict with some traditional modeling and non-modeling events.

The past few years, there was a week off between July 4th and the CL Nats, which worked better, at least for me.

There is no 'Expert' at the NATs, that's Open. I think it was 38 Open, 28 Advanced, about 5 Senior, and 2 Junior.

Saying combat was "off" is a bit misleading - it appeared to be nearly non-existent but that's about the same as the last few years. There did seem to be a fair number of speed fliers.
