Someone asked me what the awards looked like, so here is a couple of pics. I want to thank the sponsors of the "Jack Sheeks High Point Award". The "Vintage Stunt Championship Keeper of the Flame Award" was unexpected. Looking at the names already on the award are my heroes in modeling. Now I get to add my name to the trophy. Thanks to all involved. DOC Holliday

I was there, sitting next to Doc when the awards were handed out - he was not only totally surprised but totally deserving as well y1

Congrats Doc; It is quite a thrill to receive the KOF award. I was overwhelmed when they called my name. It is also a big responsibility. You have to keep the flame going till next year. I bet you will do just fine.

Doc, I am sure that you are too modest to ever have thought about this. Someday down the road someone else will get it and think, "This has all my heroes on it, look there is Doc Holliday's name"

I think awards like Keeper of the flame work both ways - CERTAINLY the winner is justifiably proud and honored, but the AWARD becomes more distinguished - because it carries the names of the honorees.
Been said before but - WAY TO GO Doc, and it looks like the award committee got it right again!

John: I've told this story before. The Keeper of the Flame trophy rested on my dining room table during the year I had it. On more than one dinner occasion, I filled it with ice and a bottle of champaigne. At least it has some good use!

Congratulations and thanks for posting pictures of the trophies.
Jack called me when he got back and tried to describe the award you got. He said it was wood pieces, laser cut and glued together, to make his picture. Now I see what he was describing. Looks great and it will not hold ice or beverage. LOL

I didn't get to see the beauty award. It was bigger and Mike was very deserving of it. His Freedom 45 was absolutely gorgeous. DOC Holliday
