Title: My Queen Bee kits got here today---
Post by: frank carlisle on December 01, 2006, 09:15:19 AM
I haven't opened the package yet. I somehow got inspired to clean my house today. Thoroughly. My dog "Baby" is mostly responsible for the mess. He doesn't wipe his feet when he comes in. I wipe him down with a towel but that just isn't enough.
So I'll just make note here that my Queen Bee kits arrived today. The box is small and it fit nicely into the mailbox. Later I'll open it up and post pix of the parts.
Ray mkes a really sweet kit so it will be a treat to build the smallest control line model in the world.

I feel your pain Leroy. I'm sure your wife won't miss the fact that it's another airplane. I mean look at the way Ray sent it.
Maybe we should start asking the folks we get our stuff from to send it in plain brown packages.

Don't be ashamed, Frank...be proud.  If ya got it, flaunt it.  Tell the world you play with toy airplanes. Your mailman knows now anyhow.

Glad to see it arrived safely.

My mailman leaves ME a tip at Christmas. He says no matter how big the box is it's always lite.

That's the difference between RC & CL, not the size so much as the weight of the box!

Mine arrived yesterday also! Like I said My wife was home, but I sneak it into the house and drooled over it in secret. Making sure I didn't drool on the wood. I took Lisa out and got her a pedicure and dinner so I do not have to hide it anymore. I even had to get a pedicure too. What we go through so we can play with our little airplanes. ~~>

Since I got two of them here is what I'm going to do.............................

I'm going to build the first one as per instructions. #2 I am going to offset the engine like the Bi-Slob. #^

Hi Frank,

You may not have looked too closely at the thing...it has quite a bit of offset as is.  I can't imagine the Slob has more! Open it up and take a look at the plan sheet, MM top view in the center of the page.  I didn't measure it, just followd the plan, but it must be 10 d. or more.  Maybe it's a "baby Bi-Slob" already!

OK I just took time to measure it...something between 12 and 12.5 d.  Does the Bi-Slob use more than that??

P.S. I like your idea of a building thread.

Hi, guys
I got mine today (Monday).  I guess the snow storm slowed up the post office (No more of that "...through rain and snow and sleet and hail...)  We had them all.

I have only had a chance to glance through it but it looks purdy!!!

regards,
bill marvel
