It helps to really understand what the shape should be like for each trick as you learn the pattern. For me, it was the hour glass that gave me fits, and can still bug me to this day! It all came together when I finally figured out that the top of the hour glass was over head and not at 45 degrees! The same for the clover. You have the whole sky to use, just remember to use it!

Did my first hourglass yesterday.
There was some gentle ribbing about "bad vertical eights" on the first flight, since the corner were, well, pretty round as I was just getting used to the handle motions.
Third corner seems really easy to ruin things.
Second flight was better, but maybe my buddy was just being kind, LOL.

Anyway, it was fun. And that is the main thing!

Clover leafs are fun if you don't worry too much about making them perfect.  Just be sure to keep plenty of altitude on the lower loops.  If you scare yourself you are too low.

As I told one of my guys when he had done everything but the clover, "It is just 4 loops tied together in different parts of the sky".    Also make sure you don't change your mind once you start it.    Seen too many times when people would start a maneuver and then change their mind with desasturous results.   Also if you don't the tight buns gacter once in a while you aren't trying hard enough.
