Just put this down to protect the ceramic tile in my workshop.  Really feels good under your feet and added some color.  You can buy these at Sam's Wholesale in bundles of 8 which is 33.9 sqft.  They are called U-Til- A Mat.  $21.00 for 33 sqft..not bad.

You know Doc, I guess that explains why I had this irresistible urge to start playing with toy airplanes.

I've done the same thing in my shop. The concrete is very poor in my basement so while it doesn't level anything, it make a sweepable surface the looks good. If can be damp mopped too and that helps because mine is all black.

What good is life if we can't have fun.   Before I started moving stuff into the shop and I had finished laying the linoleum down,  Sandy the demented poodle and I just laid on the floor and played with her toys.   Need to clear out the shop and do a complete over haul of the floor that was supposed to water resistant.

Hey Carl

That is exactly what we used.  Linda, my wife, laid every bit of this floor and all I did was the measuring and cutting for her.  I cannot bend over very well because of all the back surgeries I have had.

I just had gastric sleeve surgery two weeks ago Carl and they won't let me lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for a while.  You're right about not being for sissies.

Thank you John.  They took out 80% of my stomach so I can only eat about 1/2 cup of liquid or food at a time.

I use the same thing in my workshop, here in Australia (or STRAYA as we say it) most of the time I cruise around in bare feet. I was getting sore ankles after an build session so my partner suggested I try them. She was right, I can build longer and remain pain free. I chose the nastiest shade of green for the tiles thinking that if I lost small parts they stick out like a sore thumb on the green tiles.

It can make it a bit interesting when you're soldering and you lose a drip of solder past the workbench...

Or if you are anything like me, you'd drop your #11 exacto and it sticks in your foot.  LL~

No, I don't build bare foot..........and I have rubber mats (with honeycomb pattern) to catch all the stuff I drop, which is just about everything! y1

Cheers, Jerry

Glad to hear you feeling better and congrats on the weight loss!  Very nice floor, too.  I have my work area in the garage covered with the black mats and I wear Crocks when I build so nothing hurts after an all-day build.  My eyes are giving out..glaucoma, so I have to get a little close to the work and have the occasional neck ache but  my sweet bride is a massage therapist so I do have is "made in the shade...or garage" so to speak. I have fits trying to find a #4 washer on that black floor though.
Well done,
Steve
