Title: My New Twister
Post by: Phil Coopy on March 06, 2007, 09:34:07 PM
My old Twister was getting to look pretty ratty so I built a new Fancherized version for KOI.  KOI will be my first C/L competition since 1967.  I'm gonna fly it tomorrow and if it flies too different than my old one I may switch back for the competition.

Your idea of ratty is sure different than mine.  You should see my Akromaster.

Looks great Phil.
Bring both of them to KOI, always good to have a backup, especially when they look as good as yours.

Flew my new twister today...WOW..what a difference an extra three inches makes on the fuse.  It didn't come in as light as I would have wished for (45oz) but with an LA40 with stock muffler I guess that ain't too bad.  It seems to have smoothed out most of my bobbles.  I'm still only going to enter Beginner Precision till I get the whole sequence down pat.  Should be fun...at least a lotta laffs.. LL~

Have been enjoying my Fancherized Twister a great deal.  Setup with 46LA it is a great flying plane- I just regret I didn't know to use 1/2 ribs and that I didn't shape the LE to be more blunt.
