« on: January 27, 2009, 03:23:45 PM »
Hello folks!
Since all of my posts and membership were lost due to the server crash, here I am again to share with you some pictures of my new project, the "77", which I'm currently building (in fact, two ships at a time)
I LOVE looking at every picture posted in this forum, so I hope you find my stuff enjoyable as well.

See ya! H^^

Hi Elizio, thanks a lot.
Are you planning to attend our Nats in Argentina? The FAA asked me to run F2B and F2C this year. Let me know as soon as you know.
Cheers,
Claudio.

Claudio,   another artist at work.  The construction on the plane is gorgeous.  Too bad you have to cover it up with paint and such, but, I imagine it will be just as great.  Keep up the great work and also keep us posted.  DOC Holliday

Claudio,

Well, if your Voodoo is anything to go by, I'm sure the finish on the new birds with be stellar. I was impressed as heck by the Trivial Pursuit. I have pictures of it on my shop wall as an example to strive for.

And, how do you keep your shop so clean. Wow!

Nice work on the new plane. Really great workmanship.

Randy,  since I have moved to the shop above the water line even tho it is still cluttered, I try to sweep up at the end of each session in the shop.  I still have planes that no one in KC wants so grandson is going to get rid of them for me.  DOC Holliday

Randy, this is the first time that someone tells me that my work is truly inspirational. Touching -to say the least- specially coming from a member of the American modelers community...
Thank you!

Regarding my "clean" shop...well...you should see it after a building session...even my beloved dog -who's ALWAYS with me in the shop- is covered with balsa dust (and the furniture, and so on)
My wife? Yes, you bet mw~ mw~ mw~!

Best regards,
Claudio.

Claudio,

Sometimes it's hard to see the work we do because we know where all the less than stellar parts are. Even if the whole thing is pretty good (in our eyes), we still tend to focus on what is lacking. It takes someone from the outside to look at it and see all the good stuff. Trust me, your work is certainly up there with the best.

Randy, this is the first time that someone tells me that my work is truly inspirational.

Put me on the list...  great CAD work.  Simply stunning craftsmanship.  Mucho, mucho, mucho, bueno.

Hey, it appears someone has been looking at some of my CAD plans?  Even the tank diagram is right.

You guys slay me with the work you do with CAD drawings.  I thought I would be a draftsman back when I was a freshman in high school.  Had two years of it when we moved and the new school didn't have drafting.  I wonder if they still teach the old method of drafting in schools.  Keep up the great work guys/gals.  DOC Holliday

And yes, the tank diagram was stolen -by me- from Dr. Jekyl's plans... ;D (hope this doesn't bother you...)

Not at all.  That is what the plans are for...

I have never sold one single plan.  However, my plans have been downloaded a lot.  I am very proud of that fact.

Kind of flies in the face of the "follow the money" comments I hear all the time.

To Claudio Chacon,

Claudio, I have just gone over to Stunthanger, and saw your post on your New 77. I looked at every picture more than once and although the accolades have been flying around, I just have to say that every picture of your workmanship was like looking at a piece of "Art Work". I felt like a "Kid" looking in the window of a great "Toy or Candy Store, and I do love Chocolate candy. I've been modeling a long time and I have built some "Pretty Airplanes" but next to your workmanship I've got to tell you that I feel like a beginner. The woodwork is flawless, the glue seems, the cuts and I dare say that although every part looks laser cut, I believe you did them all by hand.
I wished that I lived close to you, like around the corner would be nice. You probably wouldn't be able to get rid of me. I would be asking and watching every move you make. I have just never seen that kind of dedication, and let's face it, it is dedication to the nth degree. I would love to see or get a copy of those plans to just hang on my wall as a piece of inspiration to strive for.
I have been dragging my feet on a New "United" project which will have a Randy Smith piped PA 75 in it and after looking at your stuff I feel like scrapping what I've done.

Well listen, before I make your head swell beyond recognition, I want to thank you for sharing something so "Beautiful" with us slackers.
I hope that one day before I go, I would love to get a chance meet you to shake your hand. We Italians have a tendency to give everybody a "Big Hug" and You would definitely get one of those from me.

Thanks again, and I remain yours in STUNT,

Well...what can I say Mr. Lampione. First of all, I wish I had a better English to express myself to tell you and all the great people in this forum how grateful I am for receiving such an overwhelming and unexpected amount of compliments and encouraging words about my work.
As I said before, I've been closely following all the work of the American CL community since I first joined Stunt News back in 1980, time when I start drooling while beholding all those magnificent models: totally inspirational! :o (I even remember your planes with very patriotic paint schemes and matching outfits, a truly US ambassador!)

And concerning your Italian tendency to hug, man, let me tell you: you are nowhere near us Latins in this matter n1!
We are top notch, state-of-the-art truly professional huggers  LL~ LL~!!! You should come and see by yourself!
I have an explosive Spanish-Italian blood mix (my grandmother and grandfather were both Italian).
Anyway, I really look forward to see you around.

My best regards and receive a BIG HUG from the south side of the globe...
Thank you so much,
Claudio.

HEY! I just re read all of this thread, examined every picture and I must have a set of these plans. I have a  Black Saito 72 looking for a home and Pete says he can even get me his 62 in the same color and annodized heads. This is the best take apart purpose built for 4 stroke design I have seen to date. I love the rudder ,makes me misty eyed! sniff..... #^
