Title: My New Plane
Post by: Zuriel Armstrong on November 11, 2009, 01:15:20 PM
After Sunday in Texarkana, I cleared the bench of all of the "STUFF" in the way.

It's a start anyway!

Hey Ty,

And then drive home with the lender LL~

Lou was very gracious in loaning the plane and doing as well as I did Sunday kinda got my motivation going.

Yes, this is the Sultan based plane.  I love the lines and hope I do Norm's plans justice.

Zuriel,

What's the story on the double set of mounting holes?   Did you do that, or did it come from Randy that way?

Cheers.

I love Randy's Aero engines..

I hope you'll post photos of your build here, so we can all learn.

Best,

L.

Warren,

As far back as I can recall the PA's always has "adjustable" mounting holes. Object being for the PA to be a bolt in replacement for OPS's, OS's, and ST .60's.

Zuriel,

Looks good so far, but it might fly better if you build some wings!

Hi Tom,

They are just out of view in this shot.  Bob Hunt foam wings ready to join.  Like I said...it's straight so far ;D  I went with foam wings since my building time is minimum and I wanted a rigid straight wing.  Bob does nice work too.

Z,

You asked for it and you got it.  Here are a couple photos of Jason's beautiful electric powered Omega.  It is a fabulous flying aircraft.  I'm not sure if the credit should go to the pilot, the airplane, or the power plant.  It's probably a combination of all three!

Has to be the result of the gorgeous lady holding the plane.  The color scheme is a little unusual to me, but, I like it.

I think the paint scheme is inspired. Great looking model, congrats.

Guys,

Thanks for the kind comments.

Doc,
The gorgeous lady(wife) picked the monokote colors and helped layout the scheme.  I wasnt real sure about it in the beginning, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
