I haven't made up my mind about the skin...I will let the plane decide....the engine will be a McCoy .19 blackhead. ;D I bent the landing gear, put in the bellcrank tower and made my bellcrank, and put it in place...also stacked up the wingtips and carved them back down and sanded them...didn't get much done today. I'll post another pic in a short. ;)

Now that you mention it, every shot of the plane seems to have a gun, arrow, or fishing pole in the back ground. Looks like the den of a well rounded sportsman/hobbiest.

Aw....I was wondering what Keith was talkin bout. Yeah, and that's just one wall LL~ Anybody might get the impression that I'm a veteran of an unpopular war.... ;D I've almost got as many planes in this room as I do guns, lemme see...17 airplanes....12 guns....seven bows....26 fishing poles....a TV, a computer, a scroll saw, a band saw, 2 boats, a guitar, a tool box[100+ pounds], 2 rockets, 6 tackle boxes, and a monster pile of deer antlers. Everything else is incidental to the afore-mentioned accoutrements LL~ :## ;D

On the wheels, if you need something lighter. Brodak wheels that come with the ARF and ARC's are available. Dave Brown is what I stock and they are lighter. DB also has a line of Lectr-Flite wheels which have a norrower profile. Might help the weight issue.

Thanks Wayne, I think I'll stick with the ones I have, I know they're heavy, but if it turns out they are too heavy for the .19, I'm gonna jump to the .29, and then the .35. I need those bigger wheels because of the "lower Arkansas tundra" we fly on LL~ ;D H^^ I just finished capping the ribs and painting the fuse....I'm gonna cover the tail, then when my wire comes in I'll finish up and hopefully fly it soon! #^

The next profile you build like this you might want to extend those ply doublers farther back. Where you have ended them is like the Sterling Ringmaster kits and it is a spot that breaks off easily. Other than that it looks good.

I thought about doing that very thing, but my plywood supply was wanning. So what I did do, is to extend the spruce motor mounts all the way back to the [wing] leading edge and epoxied them....I don't aim to crash this plane, so I most likely will just fly it for kicks...the rest of my airplanes are up for grabs! ;D H^^

Incidentally to the "break-off factor", I will add this note , I have several ringmasters still in service that a few have broken off. When that happens, if it doesn't result in catastophic damage; I use 1/4" dowels and about 6" long then drill the fuse towards both ends, making sure of the alignment, then epoxy the whole joint including the dowel pins....when it's done hardening, I remount the wing. ;D
